Privacy Policy

Amplian Ltd (“Amplian”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England & Wales, operates the website at amplian.co(the “Site”). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
We collect as little personal data as the Site needs to function, and we don’t sell, rent or trade it to anyone.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form, we collect: first name, last name, work email address, company name (optional), the area you select from the enquiry dropdown, and the message you write. We use this solely to read and respond to your enquiry — nothing more.
If you email or call us directly, we hold whatever you send us (your email address, phone number, and the content of your message) for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry and any resulting business relationship.
Information collected automatically
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how many people visit the Site, which pages they read, and roughly where visitors come from (e.g. which country, or which site referred them). Umami does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not build a profile that identifies you personally — it produces aggregated, anonymous statistics only. Because no cookies or personal identifiers are used, no cookie consent banner is required to use the Site.
2. Why we collect it
We use the data above only to:
- Respond to enquiries made through the contact form, email or phone.
- Understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it.
- Meet our legal and accounting obligations, where applicable (e.g. retaining client correspondence).
We do not use your data for advertising, do not build marketing profiles, and do not send unsolicited marketing emails. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run the Site and respond to enquiries:
- Web3Forms — processes contact-form submissions and delivers them to our inbox by email. Web3Forms receives the data you submit in the form in order to send it to us; it is not used by Web3Forms for any other purpose. See Web3Forms’ own privacy policy for details of how they handle data in transit.
- Umami— provides the anonymous, cookieless visitor analytics described above. Umami’s cloud infrastructure is run on servers based in the US and EU; no personal data is transmitted, as Umami does not collect any.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal data with any other third party, and we do not use any advertising or tracking networks.
4. How long we keep it
We keep contact-form and email enquiries for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to you and, where a business relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and contractual obligations. Anonymous analytics data is retained in aggregate form and is not linked to any individual.
5. Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, data protection law (UK GDPR / EU GDPR) gives you the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data, or delete data we no longer have a reason to keep.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we are relying on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@amplian.co. We will respond within one month. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to industry-standard practices to keep your data safe.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a new tool to the Site or our practices change. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
8. Contact
Questions about this policy or how we handle your data can be sent to contact@amplian.co or via the contact page.
